The design aims to create a calm, harmonious urban silhouette along the waterfront—one that is varied in height and depth but rises gradually. By setting the tower back, a gentle gradation of building masses is created, thereby generating spatial depth.
On the side facing the lake, an open-space “shelf” arranged in front of the residential buildings and above the arcades, at a height of 16 meters, takes over the urban edge of the adjacent base volumes. Between the residential buildings, directly on the lake, a three-dimensional open-space structure is created that can be used by everyone. This establishes a functional connection between all buildings and shared open spaces via the arcades.
The Plaza of Cultures forms the center of the site, connecting the opposite sides and the lake, and with its water fountains, green spaces, and seating areas, it creates a place for entertainment and gathering for everyone. A paved surface is proposed along the central axis to define the podium and event space, where a variety of events can take place.
