The “Adele” residential project is located in the immediate vicinity of the main train station and directly adjacent to Helmut-Zilk-Park in the Sonnwendviertel neighborhood. A total of 284 privately financed rental apartments are distributed across five different building types, offering a variety of living options in this attractive location by the park. The buildings are arranged around a central, private green space and each form a distinct address. They are connected to the street via a continuous base zone that houses, among other things, a supermarket and a kindergarten.
The tallest building reaches a height of 35 meters and offers a sweeping view over the park. Each apartment features a loggia, a balcony, or a terrace—a feature that is still considered a rarity in Vienna. The balconies that jut far out at the building corners are particularly striking, offering expansive views. Along the Bloch-Bauer Promenade, which gives the project its name, the balconies stretch out like small bridges between the buildings. Slender, floor-to-ceiling French windows, which are visually integrated with the metal cladding of the façade, emphasize the building’s vertical orientation and create additional visual dynamism.

“The connection to the outdoors was very important to us. All apartments feature outdoor spaces such as balconies, terraces, or gardens. The corner balconies are particularly striking, as they extend beyond the building’s edge and thus cantilever out very far. We wanted to take advantage of the prime park location and offer residents a beautiful panoramic view with the cantilevered balconies.”
