The starting point of our considerations was the desire to create a "place". We deliberately chose the motif of the central building as the guiding principle of our design, with the motif of coming together around a common source of energy at its core. The scene is framed by the base and the roof above, which, in conjunction with the outer row of columns, subtly define the space. 

The charging station thus stands out from the surrounding landscape space without a structural barrier, a place emerges. The relationship to nature is an essential quality. Ideally, the stations are located on plots of land surrounded by nature, yet easily accessible by car. By staging the approach, the station becomes an estate in the countryside. The choreographed docking becomes an experience for drivers. 

The center of the station accommodates the lounge, which opens up to the outside via a generous glass facade. A piece of furniture runs along the facade and offers space to linger, a counter, and a direct link to the driver's own vehicle or the surrounding green space. In addition, snack vending machines provide for the physical well-being, while media content is offered on screens. 

The identity-creating recognition value of our design can be integrated into a higher-level overall concept. For example, with a specially developed e-dock app to accompany drivers on their way to and within the charging station. The circle in the square, which is found again in the floor plan, reinforces the recognition value and can form the visual leitmotif of the app, which can be applied consistently from the choice of station to the charging status of the car.
